LM2 Engine Conversion Adapter Kit for 80 Series Land Cruiser

The Torfab LM2 Conversion Adapter Kit allows you to install a LM2 Diesel engine and factory  10-speed transmission into your 80 Series Land Cruiser while retaining the factory transfer case location, transfer case crossmember, and stock drivelines.

Unlike many conversion options that require extensive fabrication, driveline modifications, or frame welding, this system was designed to simplify the installation process by utilizing the factory engine mount locations and stock transfer case position.

The result is a clean, bolt-in installation that eliminates much of the guesswork associated with engine placement and drivetrain alignment.

Kit Includes

• LM2 Engine Mount Adapter Brackets

  • Allows LM2 engines to bolt directly to the factory 80 Series frame mount locations using Toyota engine mounts

• Torfab GM Transmission to HF2A/HF2AV Transfer Case Adapter

• Transfer Case Shifter Adapter Bracket

  • Allows the transfer case shifter to remain in the factory interior location without modifying the body or transmission tunnel

Required Components

The following components are required and not included:

• Early spec LM2 engine (not LZ0)

• GM 4WD 10-Speed Transmission

• Toyota HF2A or HF2AV Transfer Case

• Toyota 80 Series Engine Mounts

  • Reuse your existing mounts or purchase new Toyota replacements

• Early 80 Series Transfer Case Shifter Base Assembly (1991–1994)

  • Required for all installations

  • 1995–1997 vehicles will need to source this component

Electrical integration, wiring, ECU programming, tuning, and conversion support are not included.
